Historical Symptomatology

Geschichtliche Symptomatologie

Nine lectures, Dornach 18 October to 3 November 1918.

What is usually called history should, according to Rudolf Steiner, be regarded only as symptoms which appear on the surface and through which one must look in order to grasp the depths of what is happening. The historical events are indicators of the underlying true reality. It is from this symptomatological aspect that the recent development of history from the beginning of the 15th century will be examined in these lectures.
