Tabor light
From AnthroWiki
Tabor light is a term from Christian mysticism. It refers to the light that Peter, James and John saw at the transfiguration of Christ on Mount Tabor. According to the teaching of the Hesychasts around Gregory Palamas, which was adopted by the Orthodox Church, this light was not an ordinary light, but an uncreated energy of God. Other people could also see this light in prayer; this was no illusion, but a real vision of God, even if not of the unknowable essence of God.
