This template is used to create [[w:Deeplink|Deeplink]]s to individual articles in [[w:JSTOR|JSTOR]] in a simple and uniformly formatted way. The links must be set using JSTOR's "stable ID", which exists for each article. Links using [[:en:Serial Item and Contribution Identifier|SICI]] are not supported by the template.

Entire journals at JSTOR can be accessed using "pseudo-interwiki" links: <code><nowiki>[[JSTOR:08993718]]</nowiki></code> becomes [[JSTOR:08993718]]. The journal code is usually the ISSN of the journal without hyphens, like this: {{ISSN|08993718}}.
