	This volume of the ~~Complete Edition~~ contains all the public lectures from the years 1914-1915 which have not yet been published. Three further volumes with lectures from the period of the First World War are in preparation in [[GA 70b]], [[GA 71a]] and [[GA 71b]]. Other public lectures of this period are already printed in GA 64 "Aus schicksaltragender Zeit", the Berlin lectures of the World War period are contained in the volumes [[GA 64]] - [[GA 67]]. Many of the lectures published in GA volume 70a deal with the nature of the German folk soul, with German idealism, with Schiller and Fichte. Detailed notes place the lectures in their intellectual-historical and historical context. The appendix contains facsimiles of Rudolf Steiner's handwritten notes relating to the lectures. Also printed are written summaries of Steiner's lectures, some of which had to be submitted to the censors at the time. Also reproduced - a rare example - are corrections Steiner made to the transcription of a lecture stenogram.
