Annotated new edition (2010) of the lectures previously available under GA 173 and GA 174 with the title "Zeitgeschichtliche Betrachtungen - Das Karma der Unwahrhaftigkeit" (First and Second Parts).

Volume 1: Ways to an Objective Formation of Judgement; Volume 2: The Karma of Untruthfulness; Volume 3: The Reality of Occult Impulses.

Rudolf Steiner's lectures on the background to the First World War. This three-volume edition has been completely revised on the basis of the stenographic transcripts. This has made it possible to clarify unclear passages in the text and to close gaps in the text. For the first time, all drawings, including the two maps drawn by Rudolf Steiner, have been included, and source material to which Rudolf Steiner referred has been reproduced verbatim. The commentary section has also been enriched with many additional references. This shows what a solid and varied knowledge of sources Rudolf Steiner had and how his views - for example on the question of war guilt - were developed from a careful analysis of the political situation of the time.

The more favourable special edition contains identical pages to the comprehensive edition of GA 173a-c.
