(Redirected from Pre-Socratic)

The pre-Socratics are called those ancient Greek philosophers who worked before Socrates (470-399 BC) or who were not yet influenced by his philosophy. Western philosophy began with them. They lived in the period from about 600 to 350 BC. The centres of pre-Socratic philosophy, also known as early Greek philosophy, were the Greek cities in western Asia Minor and southern Italy.
